Job Description:

This position resides within Prudential Advisors and collaborates with the Marketing & Business Development’s Practice Building unit. The Practice Building group is responsible for managing Prudential Advisors practice building programs helping our Financial Professionals increase their productivity and expand their practices to better serve our customers.


Teaming is a program designed to have Financial Professionals work collaboratively to serve their clients and collectively drive practice growth. As a Manager, Teaming, you will have an opportunity to play an integral role in the expansion of this program for the field force. This exciting position will allow you to implement strategic initiatives through cross-functional teams within the organization.  


The right candidate for this position will have clearly demonstrated the ability to successfully impact results, partner with various areas and teammates at all levels, strong analytical and organizational skills, attention to detail, resourcefulness and the ability to adapt to change. 


Principle Duties and Responsibilities


Program Owner role for Teaming supporting Prudential Advisors

  • Responsible for the administration of all team processing. This includes review of operating plans, adding and removing teams and tracking results

  • Partner with field management and associates to address field inquiries

  • Serve as central point of contact for all new team related initiatives

  • Develop and deliver presentations related to teaming

  • Drive strategic work for the enhancements to teaming

  • Write communications, newsletters, promotion material as it relates to teaming

  • Make business recommendations to drive initiatives forward

  • Facilitate meetings with business partners and technology teams

  • Perform Quality Assurance (QA) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) as necessary

  • Manage budget

  • Conduct necessary program compliance audits

  • Co-facilitate Teaming FAC

  • Develop and oversee tracking/reporting, metrics and analysis of Prudential Advisor team programs to measure effectiveness and make recommendations to enhance results of these programs

  • Address compliance risks/issues as applicable with Teaming projects

  • Partner with internal/external associates to enhance and maintain existing teams

  • Partner with cross-business associates on large scale projects


The position is intended to lead the overall Teaming Program and reports to the Director, Practice Building, Prudential Advisors



  • At least 3 to 5 years of project and relationship management experience is required. 

  • Minimum of 2 years working indirectly/ directly with the field.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary.  

  • General understanding of the industry and business group would be preferred.

  • Ability to interact effectively with all other business areas 

  • Organization/time management skills/results orientated

  • Ability to facilitate group presentations

  • Self-starter with the ability to drive results

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Strong interpersonal, relationship building, problem solving and team building skills

  • Demonstrated ability to drive multi-faceted projects to successful completion with limited oversight

  • Proven proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Access and PowerPoint
