This position is responsible for maintaining valuable equipment such as our formaldehyde (HCHO) plant, resin reactor, and utility equipment. This role manages the predictive and preventive maintenance programs including PSM activities as well as designing and implementing long-term continuous improvement applications. This leadership role provides guidance and direction to team members and provides valuable insight to the management team.


 

A Day In The Life Typically Includes:


 


  • Drive safety excellence through promoting employee involvement, ownership, and accountability to proactively identify hazards and implement the appropriate mitigating strategies based on the risk involved.

  • monitor the quality of craft work and provide direction to crew members to maximize efficiency.

  • assist with troubleshooting production issues; provide safety training to crew members.

  • Coaching.

  • Team development/performance management.

  • Data entry and completing/generating reports.


 

What You Will Need:

Basic Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in engineering

  • Three (3) years mechanical maintenance experience

  • Two (2) years in a supervisor role

  • One (1) year experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel (spreadsheet creation/editing), and Word (creating and modifying documents and tables)


 

What Will Put You Ahead?



Preferred Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or chemical engineering

  • Three (3) year's Chemical plant maintenance experience

  • Two (2) year's maintenance management experience 

  • Experience managing compliance and reliability around a PSM program

Physical Requirements:


  • Must have the ability to climb stairs and ladders

  • Must be able to navigate uneven surfaces, and lift up to 50 lbs

  • Candidate must be able and willing to work in difficult weather conditions at times.

  • Strong planning, leadership, and organizational skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to adapt to shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment 

  • Ability to work with an awareness of safety for yourself and others

  • Ability to work in a team environment
