Maintenance Electronic Technician – West Chester (Hummingbird), OH

Our West Chester, OH Packaging facility is seeking a qualified candidate to join our team as a Maintenance Electronic Technician.
Georgia Pacific – Hummingbird Digital Print Solutions, West Chester, OH is a start-up innovation company with the mission of helping customers transition from analog to digital printed packaging. We digitally print liner board used in the manufacture of corrugated sheets as well as specialty packaging products and displays.
This is a 2nd or 3rd shift position working Monday-Friday with overtime possible.
A Day In The Life Typically Includes:
Troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining all electrical/electronic and mechanical equipment in accordance with plant policies and procedures
Diagnosing, repairing, replacing and installing electrical, electronics, hydraulic and pneumatic systems for all plant manufacturing and support equipment
Supporting efforts to maximize production outputs and efficiencies through creative problem solving, adaptation, and correction of process bottlenecks to achieve and improve machine uptime metrics
Communicating daily work performed and machine conditions via written, verbal and computer documentation
Reading and interpreting mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic schematics
What You Will Need:
High School Diploma or GED
Experience in one or more of the following:
Two (2) years or more of electrical troubleshooting experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or military environment
One (1) year or more of maintenance experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or military environment and a 2-year technical degree in an electrical and/or industrial maintenance discipline
6+ months experience interpreting/reading technical drawings and schematics
1+ years experience working with 480-volt systems
6+ months experience utilizing a computer in a working environment
Willing and able to provide your own metric and standard tools e.g.; socket and wrench sets, and Allen T-handles
Willing and able to maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, including wearing safety equipment
What Will Put You Ahead?
Associates degree or higher in the studies of Electrical or Electronics Engineering
At least one year or more of experience as an electro-mechanic in a manufacturing or industrial environment
Experience with PLCs (programmable logic controls), A/C and D/C motors, drives and controls
Experience using MP2 or other maintenance planning software
Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
Experience in the Corrugated or Packaging industry
Physical Requirements/Other Considerations:
Willing and able to work rotating shifts, holidays, weekends and overtime as needed
Willing and able to work in a hot, humid, cold, and noisy industrial environment
