The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for providing operational expense management support and analysis for multiple teams in the ACI On Demand Division. In practice, operational responsibilities include providing detailed expense tracking and reconciliation against budget, analyzing transactions across multiple departments, documenting monthly variances, building forecast scenarios, and ad hoc research requests including resolving financial process issues. The Senior Financial Analyst will report to the Director of Finance and interact frequently with Leaders and internal business partners from across the company. This position will also drive activities for building the annual Operating Plan. Critical for success in the role is the ability to achieve results while communicating effectively, organizing data, thinking independently, and working in a team environment.


  • Conducts complex financial analyses on budgets, forecasts, operating results, and business plans. Analyzes operating results and financial position.

  • Prepares standard, periodic financial reports and analyzes business results. Creates supplemental reporting and performs analysis as requested.

  • Prepares reporting on actual results including variance analysis for the AOD P&L.

  • Leads periodic financial review sessions with senior leaders to convey observed changes, as well as potential risks and opportunities.

  • Prepares forecasts and generates accurate and timely expense projections.

  • Supports the ACI On Demand Leadership team during the Annual Planning Processes - Strategic & Operating.

  • Prepares annual budget and monthly forecasts, along with other monthly financial and operational reports for the AOD P&L.

  • Develops and case-specific financial models.

  • Refines analytical framework for facilitating financially based decisions.

  • Prepares ad hoc reporting analysis for SVP of Finance and Senior Management.

  • Leads, mentors and may provide work direction to less experienced analysts.

  • Assists with educating the Operations Teams on the financial impact of their actions.

  • Understand and adhere to all corporate policies to include, but not limited to the ACI Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or in a related field or equivalent experience

  • 5+ years related experience

  • Strong understanding of financial principles and methodologies

  • Strong MS excel skills

Preferred Skills:

  • Ability to deliver results per plan and manage variance

  • Ability to work effectively in a matrixed, complex environment

  • Working knowledge of standard accounting principles

  • Budgeting, planning and variance management skills

  • Finance and analytical knowledge and skills

  • Cognos TM1 and MS Access experience

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Self-starter with initiative and ability to drive projects to completion

  • Ability to identify business opportunities and trends as they relate to the financials
