ADULT Acute Care (Med-Surg) TrackADULT Surgical Services TrackJob Summary:A graduate nurse (preparing to take the NCLEX-RN) employed by Erlanger Health System assists in the direct or/and indirect care of a patient in Surgery under the supervision of a registered nurse. A graduate nurse in the Surgical Services Residency program completes clinical rotations through multiple Surgery teams while completing a Perioperative 101 Course and Nurse Residency training/mentoring.Education:Required: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing and eligible to take NCLEX for Registered Nurse licensure. De-escalation training if applicable.Preferred: BSNExperience:Required: Knowledge of general nursing principles and practice skillsPreferred: Patient Care Tech/Nurse Tech experiencePosition Requirement(s): License/Certification/RegistrationRequired: Proof of graduation from an accredited School of Nursing (final transcript, diploma or letter stating NCLEX eligibility and test date) Spring graduates must obtain Tennessee RN licensure by October 1st, Summer graduates by January 1st, Fall graduates by May 1st.BLS completed prior to going to unit/department and maintained going forward.The Nurse Licensure Compact will not change how to obtain or renew a Tennessee license. However, the Tennessee nursing license will be a single state license for Tennessee Residents or non-compact state residents.
