Job Summary
NetApp provides software, systems, and services to manage, store and share data via on-premises, and private and public clouds to customers worldwide. As Senior Director of Planning, Strategy & Operations, you will lead strategic planning for the Cloud Data Services Sales group and establish and manage the Cloud Sales Operations team. As a senior leader within the organization, your objective is to drive process excellence and execution across the entire CDS Sales organization You will lead a team of planning and sales operations professionals.
This is a key executive leadership position that will require building and maintaining successful cross-functional executive-level partnerships across the globe. We're bringing together our Cloud GTM together for the first time. SaaS, Subscription and Cloud experience is KEY.
NetApp is at a key inflection point in its cloud journey. This phase is to help scale our Conversions (Interest to Trials), Consumption (Expansion of cloud workloads) & Churn (prevention). Translate strategy into an operating plan. Build metrics of measurement across metered (pay as you go) through subscription (longer term annuity).
Plan, design, build, measure & be accountable for disperse models for route, quota, compensation, finance, customer success & support for core & cloud.
Integrate acquisitions, from incubation to maturity across sales, customer success.
Translate strategy into an operating plan. Build metrics of measurement across metered (pay as you go) through subscription (longer term annuity).
Build true cloud muscle within NetApp across the entire buyer journey- from interest through quote, quote through cash, and customer success to drive renewals & cross-product, cross-route expansion.
Act as the strategy/ operations lead collaborating with Cloud Sales , Core and Global Sales, Marketing, and Services peers to establish and drive: sales quota and compensation plans, demand generation & inbound/outbound strategies, field and partner enablement, and customer success programs.
Lead CDS Business Sales Operations team to develop a consistent and effective platform : create KPI's; manage AOP, ARR, MRR;, tooling and platform reviews; and establish sales success dashboarding including key productivity, financial and product adoption metrics.
Build, execute & tweak Coverage & Compensation Plans for Cloud teams to best leverage our cloud partners, & NTAP core sellers driving bookings, adoption & customer retention.
In collaboration with Product Management peers: conduct opportunity analysis and market/competitive intelligence for cloud offerings and services; pricing & packaging options.
Act as internal and external evangelist on NetApp cloud solutions, strategy, emerging technologies and competition. Know and understand Cloud market trends and identify potential acquisitions; be the interface and liaison to Finance, BU, Marketing, Core, & Chief Strategy office.
Skills & Experience
Bachelor s degree, and 10+ equivalent experience of leadership experience working with Cloud /SaaS / Subscription first companies, ideally from small programs with minimal revenue contribution to advance the business for positive revenue growth. MBA from a top university and or advanced degree preferred.
Collaborative personality, able to influence, cultivate and drive successful partnering with other internal business functions (i.e., Sales, Marketing, Application Development, and Services).
Demonstrate examples of driving Cloud SaaS & Subscription Metrics.
Strong business and financial acumen, with a history of managing a P&L. Experience in managing M&A evaluations and integrations.
Excellence in data analytics, modeling, communication & inter-personal skills.
Experience working with Public Cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure), service offerings and business models is highly preferred
