We are currently looking for a Sales Engineer to join our team! The qualified individual will serve as a lead for developing custom bioprocess fluid management system cost estimates and sales quotations. This role will be the primary interface with the company's Fluid Management Business Unit account managers in US, Europe and Asia for all high-value custom equipment quotations. Engage with customer's engineers to understand technical specifications and recommend solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop internal cost estimates for custom equipment quotations and change orders
  • Review bid package specifications such as piping, electrical, controls, materials, process and user requirement specifications. Determine feasibility to comply and/or take exceptions to specifications as necessary, calling on the company's internal subject matter experts as necessary.
  • Develop system Piping & Instrumentation diagrams in CAD to submit with the proposal to the customer.
  • Liaise with pump, valve, instrument and automation suppliers to obtain component costs to develop a holistic materials cost estimate for the project. Provide reliable labor cost estimates based on actual hours from previous similar projects.
  • Draft formal proposals and change orders for submission to customers ensuring appropriate, accurate and well-presented commercial content.
  • Support and give technical presentations of company's engineered systems and capabilities to customers with outside account managers.
  • Confer with customers and engineers to assess equipment needs and to determine system requirements.


Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a project engineering role or comparable inside sales engineering role
  • Experience in bioprocess liquid handling equipment such as chromatography and filtration systems preferred
  • Chemical, Biomedical or Mechanical Engineering degree required
  • MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) experience at master level
  • AutoCAD proficiency for P&ID editing purposes
  • Strong customer relations proficiency
  • Understanding of legal implications of RFQs, Quotes, Exceptions and T&Cs
  • Excellent written and verbal communication aptitude towards a global and multi-cultural customer base
  • Must be highly detail oriented and able to convey a professional brand image
  • Strong teamwork and time management skills
  • Experience using ERP systems is preferred (company uses MS-NAV)
  • Experience using CRM systems is preferred (company uses Salesforce)
