Job Description:

The StrikeProgram, Specialty Test Team is looking for a Manager to lead the STTInstrumentation Team. This position has both Functional and Program / Technicalresponsibilities. This position is locate in Palmdale California. Selectedindividual must have the Technical and soft skills that will enable him tosuccessfully finish building the Instrumentation Team and lead them through allfacets of Structural Testing, design, build up and execution. Candidate must beable and willing to execute in a multifaceted role, willing to collaborate withEngineering, Functional and Business team members located in multiple sites andcross country. This position requires a broad skillset in the area ofinstrumentation, static, fatigue, sensor applications, programing and systemdesign. Structural Test environment experience as well as excellentcommunication skills are a must have. Below are some but not all of theresponsibilities of this position.

Functionalresponsibilities include:
*

Coachingand developing team members, Engineers as well as technicians
*

Employeeperformance evaluations
*

Timecard approvals
*

Teambuilding, interviews and candidate down-select
*

Executingspecial assignments in support of FHR as well as Program requests
*

Coordinatewith STA and FTE Engineering Managers developing and maintaining POP plan

Program /Technical execution responsibilities:
*

Providedirection and oversight for L/C and DAS system buildup, deployment andoperation as required for Full scale as well as Component Structural Testing
*

Trackand/or manage projects
*

Leadteam thru execution of applicable IMS tasks
*

Forecaststaffing and resource management
*

Collaboratewith engineering team to work thru and manage Risks, Issues and Opportunities,manage and adjust accordingly
*

Participatein various PDR, CDR and general Technical Interchange discussions.
*

Developand Author Test Procedures and Test Reports
*

Facilitate/ coordinate communications across sites, Customers, Vendors and Suppliers
*

Assistin identifying and communicating changes / drivers to our SOW

The selectedcandidate must have excellent communication skills, be capable of collaboratingwith a diverse team of Managers, Engineers, and Technicians. Candidate musthave a good understanding of STT s SOW. Candidate must also be capable ofinterpreting, understanding and adhering to customer and organizational testrequirements as well as constraints. The candidate must be capable of adjustingto and thriving in a fast paced, very fluid work environment as well as beingwilling and able to support extended shifts, weekends, holidays and occasionaltravel.

QUALIFICATIONS

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor'sDegree in STEM related discipline plus 5 years related experience
*

ExperienceLoads Control and Data Acquisition systems.
*

Abilityto develop relationships and operate in a collaborative team environment
*

ActiveDoD Secret Clearance, In scope within the last 5 years with the ability toobtain special program access PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
*

StrainGage design, selection and lay-out experience
*

LoadsControl and Data Acquisition system (MOOG /Pacific Instruments) design andoperation
*

Demonstratedunderstanding of program risk, opportunity and issue management process
*

Abilityto develop relationships and operate in a collaborative team environment
*

TestFacilities Integration experience
*

SpecialProgram Access, Strike
*

Projectand functional management experience
