Position Description As a Facilities Manager on our team, you'll be helping to keep our distribution center operating smoothly. From training to problem-solving to maintaining equipment, your work will help save lives. The Facilities Manager has overall responsibility and accountability for all facility and maintenance-related activities at the distribution center, both internal and external.
Position Hours: 8:00 AM - Completion
Provide leadership, direction, coaching, and guidance to direct reports on both the facilities and janitorial staff
Manage building cleanliness and maintenance, both internal and external
Provide maintenance, training, and oversight of current/cutting-edge industrial automation and machinery to include: sorters, conveyors, warehouse management systems and material handling equipment in support of the operations team
Maintain and support security systems, including state-of-the-art intrusion detection, access system, and camera systems
Oversee and project manage the timely and cost-effective execution of facilities projects, individually and in collaboration with internal/external partners
Ensure compliance/adherence with all safety and security protocols, including but are not limited to: OSHA, FDA, Fire Detection, DEA and PDMA monitoring/compliance
Execute facility equipment audits and record retention policies
Develop, oversee and manage yearly MRO supply budget and associated inventories
Engage and partner with risk management, insurance, and property management companies; direct external contractors and oversee all facility services contracts
Manage and maintain electric forklifts, man-lifts, scrubbers, sweepers, and associated safety programs
4+ year's facilities engineering experience and demonstrated leadership/management skills
Proven leadership with the ability to build teamwork among the DC management team, operations/inventory team, and employees.
Maintain safety, accountability, work standards, employee performance, training, and development; all while keeping positive morale

Must be able to work Monday through Friday; open to flexible hours and 24 hours response as needed, to include weekends; must also be open to overtime as needed and adjusting shift based on business requirements
Additional Knowledge and Skills Required
Detailed working/troubleshooting knowledge of PLC logic and warehouse control systems, from relay logic to microprocessor-based controls
Proven ability to read and comprehend complex electrical, mechanical and automation system prints quickly and have the ability to convey information to facilities team under high-pressure situations
Working knowledge of all "trade" categories, including, but not limited to, Electrical, Mechanical, Temperature controls systems, and HVAC. Typical system knowledge required includes power feeders, transformers, generators, switchgear, AC/DC drives, PLC's, UPS systems, air handling units, and CRAC units.
Working knowledge of or capacity to learn PC software such as Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access), Warehouse Control Systems, and other automation software.
May be required to work various shifts, including days, nights, and weekends
Some overtime required
4-year degree in related field or equivalent work experience, with emphasis on building and equipment maintenance and a strong focus on conveyor and automation equipment
High energy distribution center environment
General office demands, as well as the ability to meet demands of facilities work which include but not limited to lifting/carrying items up to 100 pounds and climbing ladders.
Ability to operate power equipment, including but not limited to: scissor lifts, boom lifts, man-lifts, reach trucks, tuggers, scrubbers, and sweepers.
