The Program Manager is an integral part of the Corporation s business systems playing a pivotal role within the product line teams. TheCorporation s product line teams are the small business units that manage many new business andP&L initiatives.Responsibilities Provide strong leadership and help build organized, motivated, focused, autonomousproduct line teams. Using proven program management experience and best practice methods, establish robustbusiness processes and metrics that motivate and drive innovation and continuousimprovement leading to expanded revenue and income growth. Coordinate heavily with sales helping to refine business focus and make servicesenhancement recommendations as required. Lead all active product line team business projects with measurable complexity. Leadershipof mature activities, such as catalog orders, will be only a minor requirement. As work load requires, using proven engineering skills, provide direct application, design,quality, manufacturing, and other technical services for some active projectsQualifications Minimum undergraduate engineering degree. Mechanical Engineering preferred.Materials science is also of interest. Advanced engineering degree(s) is/arebeneficial. Program management, six sigma, lean manufacturing, and othercertifications are beneficial. PMP Certification or demonstrated equivalent experience. 5yr minimum program management and engineering related work experience withproven success in program management and engineering problem solving in atechnical environment. Strong evidence of self-motivation and ability to work with little supervision. Passion to expand personal knowledge in sciences and engineering is a firmrequirement. As with many technologies, this position involves significant trade secrets and science that are not public knowledge. Success in thisposition requires a sincere interest in science and technology self-teaching. Tribology and Tribology related science experience is a plus. History with STLE isof value. Strong commitment to analytical methods, lean, 5S and continuous improvement.Expertise with the following are beneficial MiniTab, normality tests, statisticaldifference, hypothesis testing, MSAs, DMAIC process, DOE, 5S, value stream America Corporation HRJD # HRJD-60____, Rev # 1___Job Title: HRJD-60 Program Manager Date:08/23/2013mapping, kanban, Kaizen, takt time, etc. Six Sigma and Lean certifications areplusses. Design responsible quality system requirement understanding is desired. TS16949and AS9001 are good examples. Proven understandings of DFMEAs, PFMEAs,prototype and production control plans, PPAP process, root cause and correctiveaction processes, fish bone diagrams, 5 Why, 8D, etc. Strong GD&T and solid modeling experience. CAE and FEA familiarity is a plus.Primary CAD and analytical platforms are CATIA, Solidworks, and ABAQUS. Strong multitasking and prioritization skills. Environment involves minimalsupervision and product line team autonomy is strongly encouraged. Thorough knowledge of MS Project and other recognized program managementtools. Office 365, Sharepoint, Power BI, and Project Web App familiarity is a plus. Current environment will require significant hands-on effort. Current infrastructureis small and multi-functional efforts are required. Demonstrated team building skills. Current product line teams consists of a verywide range of expertise. Must interface well with all associates and demonstrateexceptional diplomacy and leadership skills. Experience working with Japanese parent company or strong experience withprojects involving Japanese design or development content is a plus.
