The VP, Product & Portfolio Management is a strategic role designed to maximize business alignment, create and maintain technology product roadmaps across top-level initiatives and serve as an incubator for innovation. The position oversees a high performing team of technology leaders to define, deliver and measure impacts of strategic initiatives.
What would you do? - The Specifics
Defines and leads business relationship management to ensure close alignment of technology products & initiatives with strategic business priorities
Defines and implements a product management approach to strategic technology platforms, aligned with key business imperatives.Provides thought leadership across multiple technologies (spanning consumer retail, healthcare, data & enterprise systems).
Creates, maintains & communicates a portfolio of multi-year product roadmaps, collaborating closely with business stakeholders to ensure key metrics including ROI are leveraged to prioritize initiatives
.Establishes portfolio management processes to transparently gather strategic business priorities, convert to roadmaps, and communicate progress/opportunities to stakeholders in a proactive and regular manner.
Collaborates closely with Technology Delivery & Infrastructure teams to ensure continual alignment of solutions with business strategies, expected timelines and financial metrics.
Stays current with consumer-centric technology trends emerging / disrupting the status quo - translate into actionable concepts to benefit the optical retail space.
Establishes an on-going innovation program to drive ideation, experimentation and ultimately generate business benefits to NVI.
Introduces, trains and implements design-thinking, agile and other relevant methodologies to accelerate cross-functional collaboration in solution creation.
Partners closely with cross-functional business leaders to drive process optimization that can then be translated to optimized, simplified and automated technology products.
Creates and manages processes to optimize and drive adoption of technology products as well as measure effectiveness of the solutions.
Drives a data-driven approach to decision making by creating actionable dashboards to track KPIs for the technology organization.
Are you the right fit? - The Suitable Talent
Four year college degree, or equivalent experience; Master's degree preferred
11 to 15+ years related experience and 5+ years related management experience.
Demonstrated experience with technology / product leadership, launching successful products for consumer and enterprise user communities; exposure to broad stack of contemporary consumer and enterprise solutions
Experienced in leading cross-functional teams in an effective, collaborative manner in mid / large organizations.
Experience managing or analyzing P&L statements and financial modeling skills
Experience in multi-site retail and healthcare organizations will be a plus.
