Right now we're looking for a Compensation Associate to join our growing team.
The Compensation Associate assists with administering pay programs on behalf of the Company by participating in market research and job analysis
What Would You Do?
Updates pay grades fort he Corporate position.s
Reviews Market Rate Adjustment requests for equity within the market. Pulls and analyzes data and submits findings to Senior Compensation Coordinator to review and approve. Escalates to Compensation Director as necessary.
Assists with the administration of the Retail Support Center (RSC) Bonus Plan by pulling the RCS Bonus report each month and ensuring all associates are accurately listed; and calculating accruals. At the end of the year, prepares RSC Bonus Plan payment file and coordinates the sorting and distributing of the checks.
Works with hiring manager to create and update job descriptions, review career level and determine FLSA exemption status.
Oversees the cataloguing of job descriptions and job codes. Ensures the latest versions are available and follow-ups on any descriptions that may need updating.
Audits the Multiple Salaried Managers in a Store report and contacts the District Managers for information to ensure compliance with the FLSA exemption laws.
Contributes to the development, design and maintenance of the job description and evaluation process. Determines job pay grade and ensures accurate job documentation, salary market competitiveness and internal equity for Company positions. Coordinates approvals through Sr Compensation Analyst and Compensation Director.
Pulls data required for salary survey submissions as approved by the Compensation Director.
Confirms pay ranges and bonus plans for positions for the Corporate Recruiter.
Reviews internal applications for promotion, demotion, or lateral move details.
Coordinates HRIS (UltiPro) job changes with Shared Services Team
Tracks changes to minimum wage at the Federal, State and municipality level. Begins preparations to update to new minimum wage increases 6 months, 90 days and 2 weeks prior to the law taking affect. Notifies District Managers of associates who are affected by minimum wage increases.
Reviews minimum wage audits and processes updates to associate pay as needed.
Works with Senior Compensation Analyst to calculate potential compression increases. Prepares compression increase memos to affected associates when needed.
Assists with the Anniversary Date Annual Increase Process each month by pulling data from performance management system (PeopleFluent), preparing upload template, auditing and reviewing submissions for accuracy and answering questions from the field.
Creates, maintains, and runs standard and ad hoc reports in the HRIS report writing system (Cognos).
Four year college degree (Business or Finance degree preferred), or equivalent experience.
