Job Description Summary:
Under the general supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Electrician maintains, troubleshoots and services electrical and electronic systems, Industrial electrical machinery and controls and other tasks in a manufacturing environment. Support all production and physical plant equipment in the facility. The ideal candidate must have the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot the facilities equipment including electrical systems, motors, disconnects and breakers, low voltage controls and PLC's.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Performs all duties in a safe and collaborative manner and immediately report any potentially dangerous conditions or other safety concerns to the supervisor.
Promotes and complies with good safety practices and habits, including but not limited to, use of all PPE, ensuring guards and safety features are working.
Performs scheduled preventive maintenance tasks such as checking, cleaning, or repairing equipment to detect and prevent problems.
Diagnoses, troubleshoots, maintains, and repairs electrical equipment up to 480V 3 phase and facility systems such as RTU, lighting and motor circuits.
Repair, maintain and replace electric motors.
Maintain all associated equipment for the electric motors, including drives.
Install and repair all types of electronic equipment including PLC programmers.
Maintain and install electrical services throughout the facility including lighting, HVAC, etc.
Install new equipment, mount fixtures, run conduit, pull wire, connect wiring, etc.
Troubleshoot electrical breakdowns.
Utilizes strong mechanical and electrical skills in order to complete assignments.
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Must obey all safety rules and wear all proper Personal Protection Equipment
Understand and able to work on up to 480V 3 phase (Higher voltage experience a plus)
Must be able to meet the physical demands and skills analysis of the job.
