The Corporate Treasury organization is seeking a candidate for the position of Manager, Global Hedging Programs. This position reports to the VP & Assistant Treasurer, Treasury Operations and will be located in Berwyn, PA. The Global Hedging Programs team is responsible for managing the company's exposure to various financial market risks and minimize the impact of the volatility of these markets to TE Connectivity's earnings. The team currently manages the company's exposure to the following markets using a variety of financial instruments:

* Foreign Exchange

* Commodities

* Interest Rates

* Equity

Candidates are expected to be able to transition to other positions within Treasury or the Global Finance Organization in 2 or 3 years as part of our commitment to develop and always provide new challenges and opportunities to our employees.
In order to ensure that our hedging efforts are executed in accordance with the corporate Delegation of Authority and that hedging performance is reported in a timely manner to the appropriate functions and committees, our main processes include interaction with the following groups:

* The TE Executive Leadership team to design and set guidelines for the hedging programs

* The Business Unit or Segment Finance and Procurement teams and other corporate functions to understand and quantify the company's exposure to various risks

* The Corporate Legal team to draft and execute all the documentation needed to support the hedging transactions, protect the company, and minimize execution costs

* Financial services institutions to hedge the exposures when appropriate on the financial markets

* Corporate and Regional Accounting teams to ensure that all hedging transactions are properly accounted for

The manager is expected to proactively collaborate with all parties above, as well as with other members of the corporate and regional Treasury organizations to solve complex hedging problems, act as consultant/expert on hedging matters to the management team and to the business, as well as to meet the team's optimal objective, which is to minimize the financial markets volatility impact on TE Connectivity's earnings. WHAT YOUR BACKGROUND SHOULD LOOK LIKE:

Along with demonstrated commitment to TE's core values of integrity, accountability, teamwork and innovation, candidates should have absolutely demonstrated experience in the following:

* Strong understanding of capital markets theory and drivers of financial markets

* Strong understanding and modeling capabilities of financial instruments and derivatives

* Risk identification, modeling, and mitigation

* Accounting guidelines for financial derivative transactions - ASC 815

* Financial statement analysis

* Project management

* Bank relationship management

In addition to the above requirements, we expect the candidates to possess the following:

* MBA or advanced degree with at least 4 years of experience or Bachelor's degree with at least 8 years of experience in corporate finance or in a business environment

* Advanced knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles and business standards for integrated financial analysis

* Strong critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills in order to leverage technical knowledge and skills sets into effective and actionable analyses or solutions

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills and comfort working across all levels of the organization

* Self-starter with ability to perform independent work and research

* Comfort dealing with ambiguity and ability to manage multiple projects

* Proficiency in SAP, Hyperion Financial Management, Bloomberg, or Treasury Management Systems is a plus but not required
