To provide customers with the highest quality service by providing consistent operational support and resolution in order to ensure timely release and inbound movement of freight/cargo.

Provide and ensure a high level of customer service in the ocean import transportation department by following critical process protocols as outlined in the ocean import transportation standardized process model. Prepare, analyze, and/or submit documentation to the appropriate parties (Customs Broker, CFS Ocean team and Surface team) in order to ensure they are in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations relating to customs and transportation. Anticipate, identify, and resolve problems which could delay the timely release or movement of freight. Maintain relationships with correspondent brokers, T&B, and other service providers to ensure that agents exceed the customers' service requirements.

Strong knowledge of ocean carriers, rail movement and inland transportation. Candidate should have working knowledge of tracking ocean import shipments, preparing arrival notices for associated broker, preparation of delivery orders and release orders, payment of storage when applicable, processing of shipments in internal operating system to ensure timely entry can be filed for each respective shipment. Ability to build strong cross-team partnerships while managing daily productivity goals. Ability to function in a fast paced, high volume operational department while maintaining daily service metrics. Initiate ocean import freight payments within internal operating system. Complete accurate data input or corrections into operating system.

High school diploma/GED. Proficient computer skills. Strong customer service, operational & communication (written/oral) skills. Working knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations & other federal regulations and requirements w/respect to specific area of expertise (chb, air trans, ocean trans, surf trans) as applicable depending on functional department is preferred. One and a half (1 1/2) years of work/field experience preferred.
