Position Summary:

The Quality Auditor will provide quality support to operations in tracking quality performance of processes and products and expertise to ensure accuracy of test procedures throughout the facility.  Verify quality system integrity through daily audits, properly identify quality issues, communicate to appropriate personnel, track corrective actions, and provide support for finishing supply issues on their respective shift.

Core Job Responsibilities:


  • Perform work in a safe manner.

  • Report noncompliance of systems, specifications, raw materials or products

  • Audit the manufacturing areas and interact with operating teams to communicate and document findings per specifications.

  • Verify quality system integrity through compliance with specifications, documentation accuracy, online test accuracy, verification of in process checks, final lot acceptance and final finished goods lot release requirements.

  • Responsible for the lot file review and the release of all finished goods.

  • Review job specific mill procedures and work instructions as required.

  • Maintain up to date knowledge regarding sector and facility converting and coform quality needs.

  • Provide personnel appropriate feedback regarding finished products quality issues.

  • Provide guidance and support for finishing supply and raw material issues on shift.

  • Provide grade change support and complete First Article Inspections

  • Ensure quality incidents are documented.

  • Have Operations shut asset down to immediately correct quality issues as necessary.

  • Assist with managing COA and COC for Coform and converting materials.

  • Perform document control audits in operating areas.

  • Provide quality STM (Standard test method) training to on shift colleagues.

  • Certify on shift colleagues against quality requirements and STMs.

  • Support Quality needs/requirements during shift Gemba walks and wrap-up meeting.

  • Assist Shift Team Leaders with Quality Incident reports, nonconformance materials (finished goods and raw materials) isolation and problem solving.

  • Prioritize, implement, and track corrective actions.

  • Perform EWMA data entry and basic understanding of EWMA trending understanding to detect real time EWMA testing misses / gap closure.

  • Verify QHold area to ensure nonconforming product is properly isolated, labeled, stored and disposition.

  • Other duties as business needs dictate.

Required Job Functions:


  • Role model all Safety Requirements including Electrical Safe Working Practices, Hazard Recognition, and PPE. 

  • Adhere to all Quality Requirements including strict Gowning and Hygiene requirements. 

  • Strong Analytical skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Intermediate level skills with EWMA.

  • Ability to effectively influence; possess strong interpersonal skills and be able to adjust communication style to differing audiences.

  • Ability to utilize problem solving skills to determine root cause

  • Demonstrate initiative and self-motivation.

  • Demonstrated performance in safety, quality, and attendance with previous employments

           

Required Qualifications:


  • Ability to maintain a work schedule of 12-hour fixed shifts (day or night), including overtime, weekends and holidays

  • Must be able to wear the required PPE while performing tasks

  • Must be able to lift 40 pounds twice each hour.

  • Ascend and descend stairs, ladders and ramps.

  • Perform bending, twisting, stooping and crouching movements.

  • 1 year of product testing experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Minimum of 18 years of age

  • High school diploma or GED equivalency

  • Legal right to work in the United States


Preferred Qualifications:


  • 1 year of Quality Auditing experience

  • Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices
