JOB DESCRIPTION:

OVERALL POSITION FOCUS:

Receive, stock and issue parts and materials for use in the production and distribution departments. Pick and pack customer orders. Must be self-motivated and demonstrate the ability to use time efficiently and effectively with little supervision.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Receive, issue and stock inventory. Visualize and prioritize the replenishment needs of the market, machining centers and organize replenishment systems.

Picking finished goods from defined warehouse locations to satisfy all types of domestic and international customer orders.

Must report defective materials or questionable conditions to department lead or supervisor.

Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations.

Must maintain Certification/License on motorized material handling equipment (Forklift Wave) used within the department to move, place or unload materials in and about the shop.

Set up and operate scales.

Support and promote 5S and Lean processes in the work place.

Exhibit problem solving skills and is customer focused.

Verify all parts and materials received are correct.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Typically requires a high school education or equivalent and 6 months of directly related receiving and/or shipping work experience. Must be able to read, write and communicate in English in a professional manner with peers and internal/external customers. Must be self-motivated and demonstrate the ability to use time efficiently and effectively with little supervision. Must maintain Certification/License on motorized material handling equipment (Forklift Wave) used within the department to move, place or unload materials in and about the shop. Possess or the ability to attain proficiency in MS Excel, Word and Outlook.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT

Physical requirements are standing, walking, lifting and lowering weights up to 50 pounds, and with help occasionally up to 100 pounds.
