The Billing Specialist will become an expert in corporate finance, understanding customer invoicing terms, Accounts Receivable process, and live vs. internal invoicing and project reconciliation. He or she will also take ownership of and design new processes and process improvement plans.
Become familiar with Carousel's business, including learning about its customers and invoicing terms.
Learn the AR invoicing process to include Carousel core invoicing and Atrion SMB invoicing.
Learn the process for project milestone invoicing; internal versus live invoicing.
Learn Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) and take ownership of initiating this process in accounting software.
Learn various reporting functions of role; including monthly crunch report, open sales order report, open projects spreadsheet, invoices to date report, et cetera.
Learn the project reconciliation procedure in order to assist in this process.
Recommend process improvements around all of the elements of the role that this individual owns or impacts.
Education: High School Diploma
Years of Experience: 3-5
Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Experience working with Accounts Receivable
Familiarity with Mas500 or a similar accounting system.
Proven customer service skills
Excellent verbal and written skills.
A high level of attention to detail is critical to this role.
