As a Software Release Management Intern at Salesforce you will have the unique opportunity to learn about Salesforce s innovative, customer-focused culture, interact with all levels of Engineering leadership, and drive the continuous delivery of application releases supporting mission critical services used by the world s largest enterprises.
ABOUT THE JOB
You will use your Program Management and Leadership skills to manage releases of the Salesforce application.
If you have a developer background you will have the opportunity to develop tools on the Salesforce Application Platform using Apex (a Java-like programming language) and Lightning. If you are focused on Program Management then you will have the opportunity to participate in leading a strategic initiative.
BY THE CONCLUSION OF YOUR INTERNSHIP, YOU WILL HAVE:
Holistic understanding of multi-tenant cloud service: including the business behind serving our mission-critical application to enterprise customers.
Customer empathy: through defining and driving a strategic initiative AND/OR leveraging your technical background to automate internal tools on the Salesforce Application platform
Experience leading the entire release cycle: from developer checkins to the deployment of our weekly patch to 200+ instances across all our data centers.
Executive presence: Multiple opportunities to actively participate in discussions with our Engineering leadership team, and demonstrate your project management and technical skillset.

You have an insatiable desire to learn, and you leverage the analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills that you have gained through your studies in CS, Business, or another interesting field to demonstrate leadership through academic or extracurricular activities.
We encourage you to be courageous and ask questions, promote new ideas, and leverage data to challenge existing assumptions.
You have spent at least two years in college or grad school working toward your degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a similar field. Please note that in order to be eligible for an internship, we require that you be returning to school the following quarter/semester to work towards completing your degree
