Type: Full Time
Carries out collection, analysis, & reporting of data on infections.
Provides consultation regarding infection control matters.
Investigates clusters/outbreaks/increased rates of infections.
Investigates potential exposures to communicable diseases and communicates to all
with a need to know.
Provides infection control education to any & all levels of employees.
Inspects inpatient areas as well as outpatient offices/clinics/facilities associated with
Cooper; reports findings; confers regarding correction of deficiencies/problems.
Reports designated diseases/data to NJDOH or other State agencies as required.
Applies Cooper core values.

Scheduled Days / Hours: M-F; License (or Certification):NJ-RN Preferred; Education:BACHELOR Preferred
RN or BSMT; CIC or will be eligible within 2 years; CIC required within 4 years of hire.
Minimum of 3 years experience in an acute care hospital.
Experience participating in performance improvement activities.
Required License/Certifications/ Registration:
Must have CIC within 4 years of hire; must maintain CIC.
Proven communication skills.
Proven ability to establish & maintain excellent working relationships.
