Job Description:

Summary: At Great Wolf, the Director, Attractions brings joy to families through strategic oversight and leadership for attractions, arcade and entertainment operations. This leadership role is critical in executing on business requirements, supporting the lodge teams, and interacting with guest and pack members to enhance their experience and maximize profitability.

Responsibilities:

* Provides strategic oversight for attractions, arcade and entertainment operations including Ropes course, Rock Climbing walls, Mini-Golf, Bowling, Mining, Arcade, and Entertainment Events to ensure successful execution of all lodge programming, business, safety and service standards

* Develops and ensures execution of Standard Operating Procedures across all attractions and entertainment venues in the lodge and provides accountability

* Develops and ensures execution of daily business checklists to include Paw Pledge commitments for Guest and Pack safety and security

* Develops and executes against leading business indicators to manage business performance in addition to holding lodge teams accountable for achieving financial targets

* Collaborates with the various appropriate corporate department and lodge leadership in performance management of the department and its Pack Members

* Partners closely with Family Entertainment Group to ensure proper accounting and procedural steps are being followed and establishes ongoing forum to ensure communications are open and highly functioning.

* Coordinates IFP and Capital funding requirements for the attractions, arcade and entertainment functions and ensures project completion on time and on budget

* Coordinates with attractions and arcade suppliers to ensure timely updates to safety protocols and equipment replacement schedules to ensure safety of Pack and Guest

* Participates in recruitment and selection of talent for attractions, arcade and entertainment and is responsible to training curriculum development & roll out

* Maintains appropriate stock levels on equipment, retail stock, and supplies for lodges to pull from

* Assists in developing, implementing, and monitoring programs ensuring a safe facility that complies with all appropriate regulations--Ergonomics, Emergency Responses, Injury and Illness Prevention, and Hazard Communications Programs

* Provides coaching, encouragement, and recognition to pack members regularly

* Ensures the completion and proper communication/escalation of guest requests and other concerns to the appropriate department

Required Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

* Minimum of 5 years previous experience in attractions, arcades, events management and leadership

* Experience with Microsoft Office and general software systems; high proficiency in Excel, Word and Outlook

* Demonstrated customer service, conflict resolution, employee engagement, retention and team building skills

* Proficient in both written and spoken English

* Ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays as needed

Desired Qualifications:

* Advanced degree in hospitality or related field

* Extensive experience in a previous attractions, arcade or hospitality leadership role

* Previous hotel experience, preferably in a large family resort or hotel
