Overview:

The Food Service Technician is responsible for exchanging food carts on patient floors, warewashing, maintaining cleanliness of equipment within the department, trash removal, and general cleaning. Performs related duties as assigned. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Qualifications:

* Preferred Education: High School Diploma or GED.

* Certifications: Food Handlers Card obtained within 180 days of hire.

* Other: Skills, knowledge and abilities: Able to read, write, and follow instruction. Basic computer skills. Working conditions, mental and physical requirements: Equipment used: Dish machine, pot machine, pot scrubber, steam cleaner, garbage disposal, pulper, Styrofoam densifier, and trash compactor.
