Overview:

The Co-worker Health Triage Nurse responds to incoming telephone calls from co-workers related to COVID-19 to assess, provide telephonic medical advice, consultation, referrals, and assistance as authorized in accordance with standard symptom-based guidelines and procedures in a 24/7 call center and virtual care environment. Independently triages calls based on the co-worker's medical condition, symptoms, and care requirements. This level of remote care requires exceptional listening and assessment skills and Advanced Practice Nurse, Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse experience. Utilizes high level, critical thinking skills, and advanced competency in nursing judgment while accessing integrated telephonic and numerous computer systems to provide services, education to patients and customers, and clinical guidance to the appropriate level of care. Coordinates services with departmental staff and other departments to provide efficient and effective healthcare services.

Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with Mercy's mission, values and service standards.

Important: This is a remote, three-month temporary position and requires co-worker to have hi-speed internet access. Mercy to provide equipment.

Qualifications:

* Experience: Two years as a Nurse

* Required Education: Graduate of state approved school

* Licensure: Licensed as an Advanced Practice Nurse, Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse by the State Board of Nursing

* Certification/Registration: Current Basic Life Support through the American Heart Association

* Other: Strong computer (EPIC), interpersonal and communication skills
