Job Description:

Production Support Onsite Lead
UST Global is looking for a highly energetic and collaborative production support onsite lead for a position at San Antonio; Texas. The production support has been defined with an objective of the Application Support Services; for which UST Global is responsible; to provide customer with a stable; predictable and reliable set of production Applications. The ideal candidate is expected to be experienced in the Unix Shell Scripting and SQL. The candidate should have good experience leading Unix application teams. The candidate should be a proven self-starter with demonstrated ability to make decisions and accept responsibility and risk. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with domain experts and IT leadership team is key to be successful in this role.

Profile Summary:
At least 10+ years experience as a module lead and key business partner with various retail functions under Supply Chain like Warehouse and Transportation Management picking; shipping; receiving etc.
With L1; L2; & L3 Support Experience.
Facilitates communication between customers; SMEs; and technical staff.
Good Experience on Collaborating with different teams integrating with applications related with retail functions for any maintenance of major project implementations


Analysing; estimating; prioritizing and resolving production support requests related to Supply Chain functions mainly Warehouse and Transportation Management.
Undertaking the root cause analysis for the major production issues.
Identifying the areas of system enhancements; the technical solutions; alternatives and developing estimates & deliverables.
Interacting one to one with the client POC for gaining business and application knowledge; issues and requirements.
Documenting the knowledge and learning s from project experiences. Creating and maintaining System appreciation; problem Determination Procedure and best practices documents.
Ensuring that the team has the required technical expertise to execute the project. This involves the identification of key technical areas related to the project and conducting training sessions to plug any gaps. Also responsible for providing technical assistance over the course of the project.
Planning; prioritizing and delegating the tasks to the team members.
Clarifying the issues of the team members and helping them in the proper execution of the project.
Undertaking root cause analysis on situations. Working towards creating a high availability application environment by decreasing the number of incidents through root causes fixes.
Working along with client managers; partners and the team towards continuous improvement of the systems to enhance client business and to maintain a high-level customer satisfaction. Suggesting areas of improvements. Analysing and assessing the enhancement scope; identifying technical solutions and alternatives; developing estimates and deliverables.
Performing routine application operational activities.
Installing; configuring; and testing application software patches and new versions in conjunction with Application Development teams.
Coordinating the planned and emergency application changes.
Planning and deploying application changes and software upgrades in the different environments in conjunction with Application Development teams.
Managing capacity including capacity planning and monitoring usage limits.
Performing Application Performance Management and Fault Monitoring.
Participating in organizational activities like trainings and sessions.
Identifying and developing the reusable modules and templates; this will help in improving the productivity of the team
Ensuring that the organizational processes; based on CMMi Level 5 standards; are adhered to the project.
Being part of organization development initiatives like training and process improvement.

Technical/Development Requirements:
Experience in Unix Shell Scripting.
Experience on Oracle
Experience on Application Upgrades
Experience on Implementation of new modules
Very good experience on New Relic Monitoring
Experience in JDA tools
Experience on ESP Tool for Job monitoring

Overall Experience level: 10+ years in IT with min 2+ years as a development lead.
Location: This position will be based in San Antonio; Texas.
