Summary

Prepares and files various state and local tax returns. Prepares reconciliation of bank accounts and other general ledger accounts

Job Responsibilities & Requirements

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Prepares reconciliation of general ledger accounts
  • Manage and follow up on payment of Accounts Receivable.
  • Analyze month end Accounts Receivable and proposes necessary adjustments.
  • Prepare monthly job cost allocations
  • Assist Accounts Payable function as needed
  • Assist with job cost change orders, revisions, etc.
  • Administer company credit cards
  • Administer company travel program
  • Assist in the month end, quarter end and year end close process
  • Assist in reporting writing
  • Assist with other special projects assigned by management
  • Attendance in the office during normal business hours


SKILLS & ABILITIES:
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree (four year college or technical school) Required, Field of Study: Accounting
  • Experience: 4 plus years of experience in Accounting. Background in construction billing preferred, but not required.
  • Computer Skills: Working knowledge of accounting software, preferably Viewpoint. Accurate 10 key ability. Working knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Outlook.
  • Other Requirements: Must have excellent human relations skills to deal effectively with customers on their collection accounts. Effective personal interaction and communication skills to deal effectively with in-company management, sales personnel and customers regarding collection accounts. The ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and organize daily workflow.
