The Position:
Position General Summary:
The Global Sales Director identifies, plans for, and leads the sales strategy and implementation to ensure that FLVS Global' s business objectives are satisfied. The Director collaborates across the department and organization to oversee design of strategic sales plans for each territory, negotiation, and approval of special bids, and motivating and monitoring sales team progress toward department revenue and profit goals. As a member of the Global Leadership Team, the Director of Global Salesparticipates in the department's overall planning, development, and evaluation.

Essential Position Functions:
- Serve as member of the Global Leadership Team charged with participating in the department's planning, development, executing the department's strategic vision, recommending actions to drive revenue and increase return to the organization
- Provide direction and leadership to the Global Sales Teams, including oversight of teams charged with finding new business and retaining and growing current accounts
- Develop and execute strategic plan to achieve sales targets and expand customer base
- Create and lead the strategic direction and output of sales staff by being responsible for the team's productivity, strategy, planning, reporting, quota setting, training, coaching and sales process optimization
- Present to C-level leadership on current and future sales performance and strategic planning
- Develop a yearly budget to be approved, coordinates sales forecasting, planning, pipeline reviews, territory plan creation and presentation, Customer Insight record creation, commission planning, and revenue forecasting
- Develop account plans, monitor, and validate the sales pipeline to estimate volume, revenue, and profit and assess performance of closed sales, continuously analyzing performance and developing coaching plans for improvement
- Inform sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual targets for both new and existing customers
- Lead the team in providing excellent external customer care and support through continual improvement
- Develop strategic relationships with key customers to support FLVS Global strategy and revenue goals
- Lead by example, mentor and coach sales team including supporting high stakes client meetings and negotiations
- Lead and manage assigned direct reports, ensuring team members have access to professional and personal growth
- In collaboration with Sales Managers, recruit, develop, motivate, and manage A+ talent to deliver strong results
- Establish and implement onboarding and training delivery to sales team members.
- Maintain professional knowledge, serving as the expert on sales strategies, and the virtual, online, and blended learning market place
- Meet professional obligations through efficient work habits such as, meeting deadlines, honoring schedules, coordinating resources and meetings in an effective and timely manner, and demonstrate respect for others
- All work responsibilities are subject to having performance goals and/or targets established

Minimum Requirements:
Education/Licensure/Certification:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field

Experience:
- Ten years' sales, sales management, or related field experience
- Previous experience as a sales executive, sales manager or sales and marketing director
- Five years' experience working with the educational marketplace
- Five years of direct management/supervisory experience in a virtual environment
- Demonstrated success in working with people in establishing goals, objectives, and action plans
- Proven experience in developing and executing projects and programs
- Experience in developing and executing projects and programs
- Salesforce.com experience
