A10 Networks is looking for a Staff Software Engineer with excellent problem solving and programming skills to help in the design and implementation of high performance ADC/CGN/TPS products. A day in the life…

Responsibilities:

• Participate in the software development projects in multi-thread, high throughput, low latency systems.


• Focus on system architecture to achieve high performance.


• You will be an integral part of the team that brings up A10 appliances ranging from containers to multi-blade chassis.


• Communicate with team members and report weekly on projects progress.


• You will work cross functionally on a technical level with:


• Hardware designers in the design and implementation of A10's next gen products.


• The L2/3 infrastructure functionality team.


• The L4-7 application layer team.

Your traits:

• BS and 5+ years, Master's degree and 3+ years or equivalent experience


• Strong C or C++ programming and debugging skills


• Strong Bash and/or Python scripting skills


• Experience with switching ASIC knowledge including one or several of Broadcom, Intel, Cavium, Marvel.


• Experience with the DPDK library.


• Experience implementing packet processing software using the vendor SDKs and/or programming according to the register spec.


• Knowledge of Linux kernel internals and device drivers


• Multi-threading programming for performance


• Previous experience in writing platform/system level software would be a value addition


• Design for performance


• Independent thinker with the ability to work with others on large projects


• Excellent communication skills


• Previous experience as a tech lead or mentoring colleagues


• Quality thinker that is open-minded, creative, intelligent, and self-confident


• Delivers within timelines based on high quality, sustainable results

Bonus traits:

• Experience with some virtualization technologies, for example AWS, Azure, ESXi, KVM, HyperV


• Experience with crypto drivers for devices such as Intel QAT and/or Cavium Nitrox V.
