KARL STORZ Endoscopy-America, Inc. is headquartered in El Segundo, California, and is responsible for all U.S. distribution and sales of endoscopes, instruments, imaging systems, electromechanical devices, and OR1® operating room integration technologies.

The Sales Executive, Head and Neck will sell, service and provide educational training for all KARL STORZ products (ENT, Bronchoscopy, Aesthetics, Odontology and Navigation) to the assigned accounts within the specified territorial boundaries.

This position will service the greater Long Island, NY area, including Brooklyn, Queens and Staten Island. The selected candidate should live in the immediate area.

Job Responsibilities:

- Aggressively sell all KSEA Head & Neck products to hospitals, and where appropriate, to surgery centers and physician offices.

- Manage Head & Neck evaluations in conjunction with the respective Sales Executive.

- Provide surgical case support within existing Head & Neck customers.

- Provide dependable service after sale to ensure customer satisfaction and long-term reliability of all KSEA Head & Neck products purchased.

- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with nurses, physicians, materials management, and other key personnel in every hospital within designated geographic area.

- Address customer complaints in a timely manner and in accordance with established company policy, advising management promptly of any situation beyond his/her scope of authority.

- Be capable of effective presentation and in-service of Head & Neck product features, benefits, and usage.

- Responsible for the collaborative efforts with respective Account Executives of the achievement of the geographic area's assigned Head & Neck quota. Annual bonus is tied to this achievement.

- In conjunction with local market team, prepare and maintain an annual working sales plan, including analysis, targeting, and forecasting that reflects activities and efforts required to achieve company goals and quotas.

- Accountability for all samples provided by KSEA, and, as often as possible, turnover of samples through sales to customers.

- Be alert to all competitive products, design, pricing, and promotions, keeping management informed in a timely manner.

- When appropriate, recommend the addition of new products and modifications, or new applications of existing products to management.

- Comply with all company policies, instructions and directives toward the fulfillment of company objectives.

- Submit complete and informative meeting or convention reports as instructed in a timely manner.

- Submit weekly activity reports to respective Region Manager.

- Complete and submit expense reports in accordance with company policy in a timely manner.

- Maintain up-to-date customer records and any other records as required by company policy/instruction.

- Submit any special reports related to the operation of the territory as required.

- Attend and participate in sales meetings, training programs, and conventions as directed.

- Maintain an awareness of likely candidates for the sales force and call any such individual(s) to the attention of the Region Manager.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's Degree

- 3-5 years of sales experience, preferably in medical

- Exceptional communication skills

- Self-motivated with the ability to manage work independently to completion

- Highly organized and experienced at successfully multi-tasking

- Expertise in Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Preferred

- Healthcare or medical selling experience (capital equipment)

- Sales experience with strong understanding of the solutions selling process

- Effective influence skills - adept at ability to understand the needs of, and influence, personnel ranging from nurses to C-level decision makers

- Strong analytical skills to effectively track sales activity, develop sales plans, understand local market and competitive trends, and complete the analysis of sales deals

This position requires daily driving to geographically dispersed accounts. If the candidate intends to drive a privately-owned vehicle, candidates must have a valid driver's license in the state where the vehicle will be operated or in the state of residence.
