Manager - Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

Position Summary

The Manager Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) will have a proven track record of leading company-wide diversity, equity & inclusion strategies, initiatives, and programs with multiple stakeholders. The DEI Manager partners with the Director Corporate Social Responsibility & DEI to create and embed a DEI strategy into the broader business and talent strategy. As a member of the People Leadership team, the Manager serves as the subject matter expert for diversity and inclusion initiatives and is responsible for working collaboratively across the company to create and drive inclusive behaviors and practices that support our business objectives. The Manager works collaboratively with the Talent Acquisition team on diversity outreach programs, providing counsel on diversity hiring pipelines. The manager will collaborate with Organizational Effectiveness to implement change management, training and talent strategies to close access and skill gaps. Partner with the People Data Insights team to create, maintain and lead a data-driven approach to measurable and sustainable impact and results for Crewmembers across the organization.

Essential Responsibilities

- Participate in the design and implementation of a multi-dimensional diversity, equity and inclusion strategy that aligns with the company's business goals and objectives to support and enhance the JetBlue inclusive culture

- Develop and implement key initiatives to support company's overall business strategy

- Oversee and advise crewmember resource groups (affinity groups), providing guidance on programmatic activities and initiatives as well as overall annual business planning

- Provide guidance and support for awareness programs that build the company's capability in diversity, equity and inclusion

- Partner with Talent Acquisition, Corporate Social Responsibility, Corporate Communications, Strategic Sourcing, Commercial and other key departments to support diversity outreach and talent pipelines in the community

- Analyze metrics and research to understand key opportunities as well as create reporting methods for diversity and inclusion metrics

- Deliver clear and concise communication to a wide range of audiences on diversity, equity and inclusion strategies and programs

- Collaborate with People functions to create strategic alignment and build diversity, equity and inclusion solutions to support our ongoing integrated Talent strategy and program

- May perform other duties as required or assigned

Minimum Experience and Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in a related field

- Five (5) years of DEI experience consisting of a combination of leadership, management, individual contributor and/or consulting roles

- Three (3) years' leadership and/or project management experience

- Experience leading company-wide DEI programs

- Proven accomplishments in socializing DEI concepts, plans and delivering across the organization

- Ability to influence and build relationships, work collaboratively with individuals or team from all areas and levels of the organization, community and business partners

- Ability to work independently and achieve results on own initiative as well as in cross-functional teams

- Excellent analytical and organizational skills

- Strong communication skills -written, verbal, and technical

- Pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug test

- Legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located

Preferred Experience and Qualifications

- Master's degree in Business, Human Resources, Organization Development or a related field preferred

- PHR or SPHR certification

- Experience in the design and development of affinity groups

- Working knowledge in all of the following Human Resource processes: talent acquisition, retention, performance management, training & development, competency modeling, career development, change management, succession management

Crewmember Expectations

- Regular attendance and punctuality

- Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-notice

- Well-groomed and able to maintain a professional appearance

- When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft

- Must fulfill safety accountabilities as prescribed by JetBlue's Safety Management System

- Promote JetBlue's #1 value of safety as a Safety Ambassador, supporting JetBlue's Safety Management System (SMS) components, Safety Policy and behavioral standards

- Identify safety concerns, issues, incidents or hazards that should be reported and report them whenever possible and by any means necessary including JetBlue's confidential reporting systems (Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) or Safety Action Report (SAR))

- Responsible for adhering to all applicable laws, regulations (FAA, OSHA, DOT, etc.) and Company policies, procedures and risk controls

- Uphold JetBlue's safety performance metric goals and understand how they relate to their duties and responsibilities
