This position is governed by state and federal laws, and agency/institution policy.Qualifications:
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain and track budget through Banner query and communication with
campus offices and vendors
- Maintain spreadsheet and prepare reports on financial activities and status
- Interact with vendors and otherUALRDepartments to answer questions and resolve account and billing discrepancies
- Insure accurate codes and charges for all encumbrances and disbursements
- Process paperwork/online forms for purchase of goods and services and
payroll in a timely manner
- Gather information from vendors; conduct cost comparison studies;
research existence ofUALRcontracts; obtain appropriate signatures and follow up to ensure vendors are paid and goods or services are received
- Initiate Purchase Requisitions using Banner
- Initiate PAFs for new employees, extra compensation, graduate assistants, work-studies or for new budget years
- Maintain student data
- Provide statistical data to director as needed, including charts and graphs
- Enter student information into Banner
- Maintain efficient work environment
- Welcome and provide assistance to students and visitors; receive and
direct incoming calls appropriately
- Monitor supply and equipment stock, determine needs, and place requests for necessary items
- Operate and provide routine maintenance of office equipment (i.e. changing cartridges)
- Sort and distribute letters and parcels
- Run errands on campus
- Establish and maintain organized file system
- Perform other related duties as required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
- Knowledge of computers and software applications, particularly Microsoft Office
- Ability to analyze financial records and prepare reports
- Ability to plan, organize, and direct the work of others.

Required Educationand Experience
The formal education equivalent of a high school diploma; plus one year of specialized training in business management, business education, or a related field; plus three years of experience in specialized or a related field applicable to work performed.

OTHER JOB RELATED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE MAY BE SUBSTITUTED FOR ALL OR PART OF THESE BASIC REQUIREMENTS.

Preferred Education and Experience
A Bachelor's degree. Proficiency in Google Suite. Proficiency in American Sign Language or Spanish.Additional Information:
