Job Description
Ryan Companies is looking for an organized, innovative, collaborative and forward-thinking Senior Design Project Manager - Industrial to join our team in Tampa! The ideal candidate will be able to support the Director in setting the direction and providing thought leadership for Ryan A+E, the Sector and the Division. This will include facilitating projects nationally, collaborating with the A+E Sector Leaders, Development and Construction.
The Senior Design Manager will support the Director as they build and support a national team of designers in collaboration with the Region Leaders, manage key customers, ensure customers intent is communicated to the team, manage the working documents and team work plans to ensure the projects are coming in on budget and ahead of profit expectations.
Some things you can expect to do:
- Lead, manage and mentor staff.
- Coordinate key clients with groups, including business development, and proposal response efforts.
- Organize project delivery approach.
- Ongoing management of key clients
- Develop and maintain relationships with the local design community.
- Identify award opportunities/ submittals.
- Monitor monthly financial activities.
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- Professional Architecture degree; Bachelors of Architecture or Master of Architecture required
- 10+ years of experience in distribution and/or manufacturing is required
- Relevant professional work experience with a proven track record of managing multiple projects, including complex projects over $50M
- Track record of managing several teams and clients
- Current Licensure
- Excellent understanding of development, construction, design, workload and resource management
You will really stand out if you have:
- Strong knowledge of Excel, Procore, Deltek and other project management software
- Blue Beam knowledge highly recommended
- LEED AP, WELL Accredited Professional and/or PMP Certification
