Responsibilities: 

Operates various manufacturing and specialty equipment by in raw and finished goods areas efficiently in support of Plant goals and objectives.  This position is responsible for operating, light preventative maintenance, performing minor troubleshooting, and sanitation of highly technical equipment in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. Incumbents will be responsible for production scheduling, materials logistics, and the shipping process. This position requires the incumbent to rotate through various assignments in receiving, packaging, palletizing, finished goods, and shipping. Expected to deliver production requirements as it relates to throughput, yield, product quality, and customer service.  Perform some preventative maintenance to equipment as scheduled or required. Perform line sanitation activities as scheduled or required.  Follows established Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), policies and procedures, and safety procedures while performing all job duties.  Adhere to all procedures and practices associated with Food Safety, Food Security and Food Quality.

Required Minimum Qualifications:

Position requires a minimum of 2 years similar or related production manufacturing position. Position requires knowledge of machine operations and mechanical aptitude to keep machinery and equipment operating optimally and effectively. Position requires rotation through and performing all functions in raw and FG areas. Must have excellent communication skills.  Must be able to work under limited supervision.  Receives guidelines from supervisor/lead operator but is expected to decide what actions to take when handling all but the most unusual task.  Must regularly exercise discretion and independent judgment. Ability to efficiently operate equipment via Operator Interface Terminal.  Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, work schedules and performance graphs.  Must have basic math skills.  Work consists of a wide range of tasks requiring a high level of problem-solving skills that result in solutions from several alternatives. Must help maintain product quality while meeting output standards.  Must be able to interpret and accomplish tasks and directives described in complex technical, administrative, professional and company guidelines.  Must be able to work overtime as necessary. Overtime as necessary is a requirement to the performance of this position.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience in food processing and lean manufacturing is highly desired.

Educational Requirements:

Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
