Job Description
Marketing Campaign Manager designs and then executes digital marketing campaigns for FLIR, assuming A to Z project management ownership. The key purpose of this role is to reach the targeted audiences with remarkable and highly relevant content while achieving FLIR’s business objectives established for the managed efforts.
Marketing Campaign Manager works on a small team of fellow Campaigns Managers with whom she or he shares responsibility for reaching the audience through key digital channels including email marketing, paid media placements, Google Ads, paid social, etc.
This is an exciting and ambitious role, which assumes full end-to-end ownership for managed digital marketing campaigns – from concept to results. The mission of the role is to deliver strong business results and great UX, launch successful new efforts, and continuously improve existing campaigns.
Campaign Ideation and Execution
In collaboration with Web Content, Field Marketing, Creative, external agencies, and other relevant teams and stakeholders, develop end-to-end plans for digital marketing campaigns
Prior to campaign launches, ensure clear definition of the target audience, value proposition, measurable business objectives, performance tracking, and other key elements of a well-designed campaign
Elicit market insights and remarkable content ideas both internally and externally to address identified market opportunities
Assess opportunity size for newly proposed campaigns
Build, set up, and administer campaigns in channel-specific campaign manager tools and platforms such as Google Ads, LinkedIn, or Salesforce. This may, depending on the channel platform, include creating ads and ad groups, crafting emails and building recipient lists, or negotiating appropriate media placements
Ensure appropriate landing pages and assets are in place in line with established objectives and targets. In collaboration with the web content team, influence landing page content, layout, CTAs and UX to ensure high conversion rates and other campaign goals
Work with localization agencies and teams to ensure all landing pages, ads & content are translated into appropriate target language.
Project Coordination and Campaign Execution
Drive campaign execution assuming A to Z project management ownership. Track production progress to ensure that strategic goals, creative quality expectations, and deadlines are met
Ensure effective communication among all project stakeholders and participants
Closely collaborate with other internal and external teams and individuals involved in the project. Maintain strong relationships with relevant stakeholders and team members
Reporting and Analytics
Monitor campaign performance and UX
Ensure accurate and actionable analytics for managed efforts. Ensure appropriate tracking codes and analytics settings are in place
Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on data
Drive continuous improvement through execution of split tests and data-driven decision making
Pull, use, and share data from multiple data sources including Google Analytics, CRM and the Marketing Automation platform, and provide occasional ad hoc reporting
Develop presentations to showcase performance of marketing efforts
Ad Agency and Publications management
Negotiate placements with media publications and/or ad agencies, evaluate placement proposals, and explore new placement opportunities
Track invoices and performance of the agency-managed campaigns
Budget administration
Track campaign spend against monthly and quarterly advertising budgets and adjust spend rates to come in on budget
Make suggestions regarding budget totals based on campaign performance
Requirements
Minimum 5 years in agency or corporate digital advertising or email marketing environment
Project management/producing experience
Strong hands-on experience with using Google Analytics
Strong hands-on experience with and technical expertise in at least some of the following digital marketing channels: social media advertising (LinkedIn), email marketing, Google Ads, and digital media placement
Proven critical thinking and analytical skills
Experience with pivot tables and vlookups
