We are currently hiring an Assistant Packaging Manager in Breinigsville, PA.

What You'll Do:

-
Manage off-shift operations. This includes coordinating operations and maintenance efforts to make sure planned work is completed while still executing packaging schedule.
-
Must drive strategic and tactical plan to execution within the department
-
Must be able to work in and promote a \\"Team oriented\\" and \\"Safety First\\" environment
-
Effectively working with the department to attain Department and Brewery Safety goals
-
Must observe and ensure adherence to practices and compliance to all safety and sanitation standards as well as GMP guidelines
-
Ensures product quality meets company and customer requirements/standards while helping to ensure \\"No quality concerned products leaves the brewery\\"
-
Assists in establishing and ensuring KPI's in area of responsibility meet/exceed department objectives
-
Ensure policies and procedures are administered in a fair and consistent manner
-
Provides positive leadership throughout the organization and ensures staff develops to their full potential
-
Supports the brewery performance management process. Prepare and conducts performance reviews of direct reports. Assist in providing support and guidance to Supervisors with regard to their direct reports
-
Responsible for efficient packaging operation through process, and people development while improving equipment reliability
-
Participates in interviewing and selection process for salaried and hourly team members
-
Drive standardization and consistency in routines through continual development and revision of standard operating procedures within the packaging area through Packaging Supervisors
-
Works with QA and Maintenance to resolve production-related and vendor related issues
-
Creates and fosters a team environment that demonstrates genuine concern for personal and professional development of all employees
-
Communicates effectively with all employees, operations management, and a variety of external constituents and vendors
-
Leads department team members to ensure quality, delivery, and costs are continuously being improved to achieve company objectives
-
Ensures that continuous improvement techniques are being utilized to sustain daily operational improvements
-
Track Financial performance of the area: Understand financial/performance drivers for assigned area and initiate processes to control cost and improve performance
-
Work with Department Training /Development Manager to provide ITDP for all operators in the department
-
Demonstrate an ability to grow into Manager's role
-
Responsible for TTB compliance






















What We're Looking For:

BA/BS degree in relevant area (business or production/manufacturing)
-
4-5 years of demonstrated leadership experience in manufacturing environment.
-
Servant Leadership approach

Able to flex schedule to reach all shifts and days as needs occur.

Use of Leans tools to drive Continuous Improvement in processes
-
Use of Root Cause tools to determine true root causes and plans or processes put in place to eliminate from happening again
-
Effective verbal & written communication skills
-
In-depth understanding and track record of having delivered operational processes that drive safety, cost and production improvements.
-
Proven success in managing a team's safety record and operational opportunities.
-
Ability to work with all levels of management in multi-functional departments.
-
Proven analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
-
Ability to be flexible and shift priorities in a constantly changing, fast-paced work environment.
-
Self-starter, proactive.
-
Demonstrated ability to be successful in a collaborative team environment.

Comfortable taking leadership role and ability to effectively influence others.
-
Highly effective multi-tasker; resourceful with a \\"get-it-done, can-do\\" attitude.

Able to impact and effect positive change with a flexible, open-minded, positive approach.

Proficient computer skills including; Microsoft Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.

Experience in high speed bottling environment preferred.
