Job Description:
Summary Contributes to the accomplishment of Human Resources practices and objectives that will provide an employee-oriented, high performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, quality, productivity, standards, goal attainment, and ongoing development of a superior workforce by performing the following duties:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

- Performs receptionist duties to include receiving and routing all telephone calls and messages, greet and assist visitors/applicants, sort and distribute mail, manage office supply procurement and copier maintenance.

- Provides administrative support for HR department functions including benefits, compensation, recruitment/employment, training, recognition, recordkeeping, safety, communication, facilitation, event coordination, and scheduling exit interviews.

- Assists with recruitment efforts including, scheduling interviews, conducting reference checks, and pre-employment.

- Prepares employee files and ensures human resource files and records are maintained in accordance with legal requirements and Company policies and procedures.

- Coordinates interviews with applicants, HR and hiring managers.

- Assists with coordinating and conducting new hire orientation and on-boarding programs.

- Tracks and reports key metrics designed to measure and predict staffing activity.

- Maintains knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources.

- Assists with agency regulatory audit administration, tracking and compliance.

- Develops, generates and prepares reports as assigned.

Education and/or Experience
- Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college; or three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of clients or employees of organization.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS); Payroll systems; Internet; MS Office and Outlook.
