Overview:

The Behavioral Health Treatment Facilitator is responsible for the assistance to patients and their significant others to resolve personal and environmental problems which prohibit or limit the patient from obtaining maximum benefits from behavioral health care inaccordance with the patient's right to self-determination. The Behavioral Health Treatment Facilitator will identify patients behavioral health issues and provide indicated therapeutic groups and interactions. Will consult with other hospital professionals to achieve optimum results.

The official Mercy job title for this position is Milieu Therapist. The position is full time and located at Mercy Hospital Joplin in the Behavioral Therapy Services department.

Qualifications:

* Experience: One year of related experience in psycho-educational group therapy in an inpatient psychiatric setting to include introductory counseling is required.

* Required Education: Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Counseling or related field is required.

* Certifications:BLS (Basic Life Support) within 3 months of hire. SAFE Level 2 within 6 months of hire.

* Preferred Education: Master's degree
