Senior Producer, YouTube - Food & Wine
The Senior Producer, YouTube - Food & Wine is an experienced food video producer who is an expert in the food Internet video space with direct experience creating show concepts and growing viewership on YouTube. You are a creative, energetic and experienced leader with proven editorial chops including strong research, reporting, booking and story development skills. You are a proactive, solution-oriented producer who is excited to define content strategy and lead creative production for the Food & Wine YouTube channel.

You will use data-driven insights to develop and produce new-to-market show concepts in collaboration with the Food & Wine editorial, digital, growth and brand video production teams. You will be given a budget and video output and viewership goals and be responsible for planning a programming calendar and managing the entire creative production process. You will report to the YouTube EP for team and personal goal setting and manage one Producer, assigning duties, providing production guidance and creative oversight, and ensuring team goals are being achieved. You will also work with the YouTube team Coordinating Producer and Line Producer to define team and cross-functional workflows, create and manage budgets, and book both in-house and freelance production personnel who you will oversee.

You are an expert in YouTube best practice and analytics. You are excited to share and teach that knowledge to the Producer you manage, as well as the brand video production team, in order to maximize YouTube success for all Food & Wine video content. You will be comfortable working cross-functionally in a results-driven environment, be able to multitask, and want to be part of an innovative team that is forging new ground in the world of media.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Defining Food & Wine YouTube content vision and strategy, leading creation of programming slate with the goal of publishing 102x new videos by end of June 2021 (30x new videos have been produced as of Nov 1, 2020).
- Owning all aspects of creative for full lifespan of Food & Wine YouTube productions including creating detailed run-of-show documents and scripts ahead of shoots.
- Owning relationships, and defining new workflows, with brand stakeholders and cross functional partners to ensure brand alignment on show concepts and to maximize audience growth for YouTube content
- Ideating creative treatments for episodes of existing series and evaluating what content will continue being produced
- Managing one Producer, assigning duties and providing production guidance and creative oversight while esnuring compliance with YouTube best practice and established team production workflows
- Working with programming and media desk teams to grow and manage Food & Wine YouTube channel, create optimized YouTube thumbnails and titles, and monitor comments and episode-level analytics
- Creating talent lists for each production and working with in-house Talent team to strategize guest lists and book high-level talent to appear on Food & Wine programs.

REQUIRED SKILLS:
- 5-7 years of food video production experience with direct experience leading productions, building shoot schedules, performing pre-interviews and script writing, identifying, developing and directing talent, and collaborating with culinary producers and food stylists
- Well versed in Internet culture with at least 3 years direct experience creating new show concepts and growing viewership in the YouTube food space with strong understanding of YouTube Studio and Analytics
- Demonstrated ability writing loglines, creating and pitching one sheets and show decks, and successfully moving concepts into production
- Demonstrated ability leading or overseeing food shoot production workflow as it relates to culinary production and food styling
- Demonstrated ability advising on series-level budget creation
- Demonstrated ability in virtual food video production and field production with strong knowledge of gear setups both in the field and studio
- Demonstrated ability managing full post-production process and understanding of design and production workflows and timing as it relates to proactive creation of show graphics packages
- Exceptional analytical, communication and presentation skills with ability to operate with flexibility while managing multiple projects in a fast-paced, constantly evolving and collaborative environment.
- General awareness and understanding of rights and clearances process as it relates to fair use
- Must be a team player and self-starter with strong leadership and interpersonal skills.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience with Tubular Video Insights and VidIQ
- Understanding of Adobe Premiere Pro CC and Photoshop and the ability to interface with editors / designers who use these programs
