Job Description:

Cognizant Technology Solutions is hiring for a full-time Payment Poster in Louisville, KY.

This position is primarily responsible for ensuring that all payments received are posted into the company’s billing system, allowing for the balancing of accounts. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate and efficient workflow effort during the payment posting process lessens the probability of missed payments in the collection/auditing process by performing the following duties.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following and any other duties as assigned by the supervisor:

• Reviews payment information to ensure that there is no missing or incomplete information, updates payment information in patient accounts, forwards necessary paperwork to proper locations and recipients, ensures daily balancing of all client accounts.


• Performs other activities and responsibilities as assigned


• Reports payment to clients.


• Troubleshoots any problems encountered in the posting process to lessen the likelihood of collection problems.


• Retrieves missing payment information through various methods (phone, internet, etc.).


• Enters data, such as payment information, into our company's billing system.

• High School diploma or equivalent


• 2 years of payment posting experience


• Must have a working knowledge of Excel


• Strong typing skills both alpha and numeric
