Job Summary

In partnership with the OI PL the PL-SW is the “voice of the customer” in our OI facilities.  The PL-SW partners with and supports the PL at the OI facilities to deliver customer experience from the point of sale to on-site delivery.

To achieve OI’s goal to enhance “ease of doing business,” a role to represent the customer’s voice in our facilities has been developed to ensure 100% customer satisfaction on ALL sales orders.  Once an opportunity becomes a sales order, the PL-SW in partnership with the PL drives all activities from the point of sale to on-site delivery including coordinating with engineering, approval of submittals, scheduling with production and on-site delivery with the customer and transportation. 

The PL-SW acts as the main point of contact for the PL and internal customers on assigned sales orders and is directly responsible for monitoring the project lead times.  The PL-SW is directly responsible for cost accounting and delivery of stormwater internals and supports the facilities in delivering the OI customer experience through multiple other responsibilities.

Job Responsibilities


  • Voice of the internal customer (OI facilities) in the StormWater group

  • Primary StormWater POC for facility Commercial Operations teams

  • Responsible for managing multiple sales orders concurrently

  • Upon sales order entry in assigned portfolio support onsite PL to ensure correct technical information and prints from Stormwater, supply the estimate and confirm values for all StormWater items, and provide demand forecasting information to support scheduling the project with production to align with “Customer Ship Date” in AX.

  • Support PL as needed to maintain up to date status and data in AX such as customer need date

  • Provide direction and oversight to all aspects of the project team inside of the StormWater organization; engineering, production, accounting; as well as regional support teams: supply chain and procurement

  • Prepare any applicable change order proposals in a timely manner, whether owner/ client/ engineer request or by generation from OI

  • Monitors the progress and status from the point of sales as it moves through the process, and acts to problem solve proactively, offers technical advice, and assists other staff to expedite assigned projects, removes obstacles which may cause a project to fall behind schedule.

  • Ensures a mentality of continuous improvement of processes and systems including the sharing of best practices

  • Visit sites and customers as needed to provide technical support and to ensure OI customer experience expectations are satisfied

  • Working with onsite commercial operations teams and the plant manager to manage the long-term schedule to minimize conflicts with operational restrictions

Postion Requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.

  • 2+ years experience in Project Management or heavily cross functional role

  • Demonstrated ability to manage several complex projects simultaneously without direct responsibility of team

  • Proficient in MS Office Suite

  • Background with data analytics

  • Strong organizational and communication skills

Preferred Requirements


  • Engineering or technical background


  • Ability to review and work from production schematics and engineering drawings

  • Experience within the construction or precast concrete industry

  • Ability to review and work from production schematics and engineering drawings
