This position is responsible for managing Florence’s Receiving, Customer Returns, and Value Added Services (VAS) packaging & kitting operation. Position is responsible for ensuring daily production output & maximizing customer fill rates.
Job Responsibilities:
• Provide ongoing support for union-free environment through accessibility, responsiveness and consistent application of policies.
• Lead development of process improvement culture within Supply Operations
• Lead supplier operations initiatives to drive efficiency and lead time improvements
• Support ongoing development and implementation of all Quality, Safety and Environmental programs/systems with the appropriate allocation of resources to guarantee their success.
• Promote a climate conducive to empowering employees and teams.
• Lead team to ensure success and attainment of financial & operational objectives.
• Act as coach/mentor to develop supply operations team to achieve and exceed objectives.
• Ensure policies and procedures are adhered to and motivate employees in the importance of full compliance.
• Create and maintain a positive culture which drives accountability, employee engagement and positive employee relations
• Bachelor’s degree in business, operations, or engineering field highly preferred
• Minimum of 7 years operations, staff leadership training and experience required
• Minimum of 5 years manager experience with the ability to lead and develop others to a level of self-management
• Experience in TPS/Kaizen and or Lean required
• MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required – excel required
• JDA warehouse management system experience preferred
• Experience/knowledge of Meritor products, processes and systems preferred
• Strong oral and written communication skills to develop, coordinate, and implement changes
• Ability to travel (10%) as needed
