Job Description:

GDIT is looking for an Enterprise IT Performance Management and Automation Engineer to provide technical support for industry leading GDIT Solutions to our Government customers. In this role you will be a member of a corporate applications shared services team reporting directly to the program delivery lead. You’ll have direct access to a large pool of subject matter experts to support and enable your success at the program and agency.

  • Design, develop, and implement Enterprise IT Monitoring/Management solutions including but not limited to integrations between Event Management/Correlation, ITSM, and AI/ML tools. 

  • Deliver value driven customer insight dashboards leveraging Java, PHP, Python, and COTS automation tools.

  • Provide feedback to ensure relevancy of implementation and design documentation for standard and customer specific builds

  • Participate and share knowledge, work in the context of geographically dispersed, collaborative, team-based environment

  • Help foster a highly collaborative environment that values speed and quality.

  • Perform hands-on maintenance, configuration, and troubleshooting of GDIT’s Enterprise IT Management solutions per their design and in accordance with in-scope tasks

  • Advocate for GDIT solutions between the program delivery team, federal customers and the corporate solutions team(s)

  • Review and execute customer requirements in coordination with our program delivery and solution practice teams under the direction of the program’s management

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent discipline

Required Qualifications


  • Security + or equivalent

  • 5+ Years Proven experience with implementation of enterprise level systems/network management or application performance products

  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills

  • 3+ Years’ experience preparing for and contributing to senior management briefs

  • 5+ years of experience supporting/using enterprise class infrastructure monitoring platforms

  • 5+ years of experience supporting/using enterprise class configuration and policy management

  • Thorough understanding of IT infrastructure (e.g., networking, computing, storage, application interfaces), and enterprise IT infrastructure best practices

  • 5+ years of experience supporting/using enterprise class ITSM platforms

  • Basic understanding and supporting/using AI/ML analytics

  • Understanding of Linux operating system experience

  • Self-motivated and able to work independently on multiple engagements/projects

  • Ability to maintain a positive and cooperative attitude in stressful situations

  • Ability to navigate ambiguous situations

  • Self-starter with strong ability to prioritize competing project timelines

  • Creative person who looks for new and innovative ways to resolve problems

  • Effective team player willing to assist others when needed
