Description:
This position is responsible for providing clerical
support to the Warehouse.
* Assist with inventory counts and recounts
* Provide vacation relief to inventory clerk
* Conduct investigations into material losses and work
towards finding root cause
* Effectively communicate material losses and root
cause with warehouse and production management
* Oversee cleaning supply cage inventory and POs
* Count and order all stretch wrap, glue, tape and
labels for production
* Order copy paper, shipping boxes and ice packs
* Maintain inventory and proper documentation on
peroxide; post consumption in SAP and order as
needed
* Conduct daily review of receiving paperwork. Verify
that items and quantities received are correct and
close any open line items.
* Review yard check and communicate empty trailers to
carriers
* Check and submit all ingredient COAs to QA Clerk
* Ship customer sample orders and material samples as
requested
* Review daily FedEx/UPS arrivals and notify the
appropriate departments of their deliveries
* Assist QA during mock audits and real audits by
providing documentation requested
* Create Return to Vendor PO s to ship out materials
that are being credited by vendors
* Communicate and follow up with vendors on OS&Ds
until credit is received
* Be actively involved in 5-S improvements and
sanitation in work areas
* Adhere to the Saputo code of ethics and actively
apply the Saputo values.
* Work together professionally in a team environment
with coworkers and other department personnel.
* Perform other duties as requested, directed or
assigned.
Requirements:
Job Requirements:
* High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
* Prior experience in warehouse or distribution
environment preferred
* Excellent computer skills with advanced experience
with word processing, spreadsheet applications and
specialized inventory control software programs, SAP
a plus
* Ability to read and interpret documents such as
customer orders, inventory reports, operating
procedures to ensure documents are audited and
accurate. Ability to generate reports and business
correspondence.
* Ability to prioritize responsibilities and
multi-task in a fast-paced environment
* Candidate must be highly organized and efficient
* Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and
in writing
* Work together professionally in a team environment
with coworkers and other department personnel
* Must have strong mathematical skills
* Ability to adapt to changing organizational and
operational needs
* Must follow plant GMP and sanitation guidelines.
Physical Demands and Working Environment:
* The employee may be exposed to wet, hot, humid and
cold temperatures, moving machinery including
forklift traffic, and noise levels exceeding 85dB.
* Wear personal protective equipment (PPE), required
in a warehouse and production environment.
* Must have the ability to lift and/or move up to
40-pounds independently throughout the shift.
* The employee is regularly required to work in an
office, warehouse, and production environment.
* Specific vision abilities required for this position
include close vision, distance vision, color vision,
peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability
to adjust focus.
* The employee frequently is required to sit, stand
and walk for extended periods of time.
