JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY:
This position independently performs requested ultrasound examinations, searching for any possible pathology as indicated by the patient's symptoms/medical history and/or results from previous testing. He/She reviews and discusses the ultrasound findings with the radiologist and a diagnosis is made.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate's Degree (Required)ARDMS - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography Certification - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography, ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart Association, RDMS - Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography
1-2 years ultrasound training from an accredited program Must have passed, or be registry eligible for, the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS). Must pass the abdominal or OB/GYN and physics specialties within one year of employment 1-2 years previous ultrasound Experience (clinical training acceptable). American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Provider
