SUMMARY
* Position Summary
* Position serves as the primary point of contact for patients calling with clinical matters, and practices nursing via the telephone using the nursing process and physician approved protocols.
* Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
* Education: Completion of RN degree from accredited school of nursing.
* License/Certifications: Active unencumbered State of Maine RN license or eligible for licensure. Current BLS certification.
* Experience: Minimum two years' experience working in a medical facility.
* Knowledge of telephone-based clinical assessment techniques.
* Knowledge of medical practice telephone triage protocols.
* Skill in making decisions and responding quickly and calmly.
* Proficient computer skills with skill in using electronic medical records.
* Knowledge of customer service principles and techniques.
* Excellent professional judgment and decision-making skills.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
* Excellent organizational skills.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality.
* Ability to work independently and as a team member.
