Senior Director, Business Development

ResponsibilitiesCreate and manage regional and country specific ecosystem strategies, plans and programs based on data driven analysis and allocate investment as appropriate
Identify early stage ecosystems and support scaling ecosystems for the region
Calibrate ecosystem fit with segmentation strategy to enable aligned pursuit
Partner with marketing to identify best fit marketing motions and provide subject matter expertise and input for creation of content and thought leadership
Identify and enable key Sales motions and teams appropriate to ecosystem type and scale
Curate Ecosystem Evolution via continued ecosystem market sensing and evaluation of ecosystem maturity, market adjacencies, threats and opportunities
Maintain strategic client relationships with a focus on C level and strategic business leaders
Drive adoption of interconnection product portfolio aligned with platform goals and regional interconnection requirements
Accelerate ecosystem adoption through targeted pursuit of ecosystem long tail interconnection
Develop and defend key markets via targeted campaigns driven by Regional Presidents
Co-design and continuously improve BD frameworks and metrics as the collective voice of the region
Prioritize and engage in quarterly framework gates, QBR’s and tracking of metrics and set expectation that your team does the same
Hire, engage and enable a high performing BD team
Drive continuous growth and development of your team members
Ensure consistent engagement of your team with cross functional partners
Seek opportunities for ongoing recognition and appreciation
Knowledge & Experience
20+ years experience with 10+ years’ experience in ecosystem development and management
Ecosystem portfolio management - Ability to work closely with relevant BD and region leadership on partner map development across multiple ecosystems
Ability to assess partner/market readiness for new offers
Knowledge of financial analytics and business case development to enable resource allocation
Experience recruiting, developing, and motivating a high performing BD organization and team working across multiple geographies
Cross Cultural Experience and Sensitivity
Strong Collaboration Skills within the matrix and across cross functional partners
Executive Presence and Strong Communications Skills
