Role and Responsibilities (What You'll Do)
* Leverage your technical expertise to constantly raise the bar and ensure your team delivers extraordinary results - focusing on creating value, continuous improvement and collaboration
* Strive to thoroughly understand customer, business and stakeholder needs, and provide effective solutions to meet those needs
* Dive deep into tech, driving data architecture, design, security, scalability and related best practices via hands-on contributions and coaching of data engineers and application developers
* Produce data architecture best practices and guidelines for data engineering development, data modeling and data quality results
* Evangelize and consult on enterprise data architecture in order to reduce data silos and promote the efficient, effective, accurate and secure use of data throughout the organization.
* Conduct data architecture, performance, design and model reviews for data engineering and lead data governance functions
* Develops and maintains data warehouse and application data models for the organization
* Perform technical analysis and hands on support of ad-hoc requests for information from business stakeholders and other data-related issues as needed
* Research, identify and evaluate current and upcoming data management and development technologies and provide a vision for the future
* Build real and effective partnerships between your teams and others throughout the company
Professional Qualifications (What You Have)
* You have a minimum of 7 years of system design and development experience in data-related positions including enterprise data warehouse architecture, data architecture, data modeling, ETL, database administration, and data engineering development.
* You communicate clearly and effectively with technical and non-technical audiences
* You care deeply about customer privacy, data architecture, design and quality
* You have strong analytical skills and are results-driven
* You know many of these technologies and are eager to learn the rest quickly - Oracle - PL/SQL, Data Warehouse design, ETL technologies such as Pentaho, Python, Redshift, SQL mastery
* B.S. in Computer Science (or equivalent degree or work experience)
