Description:


Your stellar sales and management experience will ensure your success in this amazing opportunity to play an integral part in the development of Merchants newest division.  Manage the day to day operations and growth of our National Pre-owned Commercial Vehicle Sales team and lead us to new heights.


What Your Day Looks Like:



  • Team Management:

    • Develop and manage the Commercial Sales Team to achieve optimal results and service excellence to all clients

    • Oversee Sales Executives and sales process from start to finish including:

      • Lead development & prospecting management

      • Inventory awareness and knowledge

      • Client needs analysis

      • Vehicle demos



    • Conduct bi-annual performance evaluations of team



  • Assist the Director and Sales Executives in creating local and national partnerships with labor unions, trade organizations, large companies, franchises, etc. that will enable the growth of the Commercial Division

  • Manage vehicle inventory levels, tracking, and pricing, based on strategic direction and in collaboration with the Director

  • Manage & host weekly pipeline reviews with Commercial Sales Team

  • Lead, coach, mentor and manage team of Local and National Commercial Sales Executives to nurture and create new business development opportunities

  • Develop and provide on-going training for the Commercial Division

    • Provide literature, training, product knowledge and other sales tools to Sales Team to provide information and build value in our products for our clients



  • Track and manage sales process and performance data, using company tools, CRM data and reports, as necessary

  • Ensure sales projections are being achieved

  • Ensure high integrity data is captured in the CRM to allow analysis and reporting on all activity and customer touchpoints

  • Provide pricing guidance and approvals to Sales Executives for active deals and assist in prospect negotiations. Escalate pricing reviews to Director for approval where necessary.

  • Interface with customers, as needed to provide sales support and resolve issues, or support materials including pricing information.

  • Perform weekly/monthly/quarterly/yearly sales analysis to determine sales trends.

  • Assist in cross training of finance, logistics and administration as needed

  • Host team conference calls and meetings that promote idea-sharing and storytelling of successful wins

  • Utilizing trends, work with Vehicle Inventory to forecast sales performance.

Your Experience and Education:



  • 5+ years Sales Team Management

  • 5+ years successful sales experience

  • Proven track record in developing a highly successful Commercial Sales division or entity with consistent results

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
