The Human Resources Generalist will support our Traverse City and Ludington locations, which is a population size of approximately 200 associates. Reporting to the HR Manager, this position will interface with our office & technical staff, as well as bargained and non-bargained shop population. In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Hourly and salaried staffing, including community outreach efforts to increase our presence in local schools & colleges
• Benefits and HRIS administration, including day to day enrollments, compliance and reporting
• Employee relations -- a strong desire to spend time on the shop floor, interacting with our population is a must

Required Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree in Human Resources or related field

Two to threeyears' Generalist experience, including exposure tobasic employee relations, benefits/HRIR administration, and recruitment & selection

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Strong organizational skills

Outgoing personality

Preferred Qualifications:

Some experience in a manufacturing environment

Exposure to a union environment
