Cosentini Associates ( www.cosentini.com ), a Tetra Tech company, invites you to consider an exciting opportunity at our New York office. We are seeking an innovative and experienced Electrical Engineer to join our renowned design team to both lead, design and manage a portfolio of projects.

About this opportunity:

As an Electrical Engineer at Cosentini, you will have the opportunity to apply your design expertise on exciting and challenging national and international projects. You will be working with some of the top engineers in the field, gaining additional expertise and building your reputation and career. You will have a chance to make a difference through designing energy efficient systems that set the standards for building system design.

Responsibilities include:

• Performing electrical power design for variety of projects to include but not limited to: buildings and facilities, including hospitals, laboratories, high rise residential, hotel and office, and other commercial and institutional projects.
  
  


• Incorporating design changes using AutoCad and/or Revit software
  
  


• Performing service load calculations and short circuit studies
  
  


• Meeting project schedules and performing work with budgetary constraints
  
  


• Attend meetings with architects, owners and building managers to discuss future or current projects
  
  


• Reviewing submittals and providing responses to Requests for Information
  
  


• Performing other duties as assigned

What kind of candidate are we looking for?

We are seeking a talented and highly motivated engineer with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering, and 5 years of experience in the design of building power systems for high rise residential, hotel and office buildings, and other commercial, institutional and healthcare facilities.

Qualifications/Skills include:

• Proficient with the use of AutoCAD and Revit software.
  
  


• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
  
  


• Excellent technical skills, strong communication, analytical and interpersonal skills
  
  


• Comprehensive knowledge and interpretation of code compliance requirements and industry standards
  
  


• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision and in a highly collaborative team environment
  
  


• PE registration is highly preferred, or EIT with the ability to obtain a P.E.
