Distribution - Dir, Transportation and Routing:

 

Key

Responsibilities:

·
The Director of Transportation will oversee driver managers, fleet managers,

routing manager, and routing team coordinator. Manages the day-to-day operation

of transportation to include timely delivery

·
This includes performance management of productivity, employee, inventory control,

safety, quality, and consistent application of our employee handbook.

·
Daily coordination with the Transportation and Sales Department is necessary to

ensure alignment within and across departments.

·
Conduct continuous analysis for route, vehicle and driver assignment, and review

scheduling for consolidation.

·
Assists with planning and implementation of vehicles, resource allocation, routing

strategies and communication across function in accordance with establishing policies

and objectives to optimize the utilization of company assets.

·
Access current route training needs and execute cross-functional training program.

 

Functional

Areas:

·
Overall productivity management of the Bronx warehouse

·
Accountability for hourly staffing levels

·
Sanitation responsibilities for the warehouse

·
KPI tracking for productivity, safety, quality, and costs

·
Facilitate troubleshooting activities for issues in the Bronx warehouse

·
Understand and have the ability to properly operate all warehouse equipment including LGV,

forklifts, RFs, dock levelers, and other miscellaneous equipment

·
Troubleshoot work activities through technical knowledge of Roadnet routing system

·
Support inventory control, lot management including receiving, shipping, equipment

utilization, and scheduling activities

·
Ensure SOPs are current and are being followed

·
Work with maintenance to track and prioritize maintenance work teams

·
Manage workload by coordinating staff schedules, workflow, temp agency strings,

receiving traffic, meet shipping ad pick-up schedules

·
Supervisor and other salaried employee developments
